These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for renting storage space from Kent & Sussex Storage.
By renting a garage storage space, you agree to these terms.

Customers may store items including:
Furniture
Household possessions
Boxes
Clothing
Books
Business stock
Tools
Equipment
Bicycles
Approved vehicles
Customers must notify Kent & Sussex Storage before storing:
Motor vehicles
Motorcycles
Valuable goods
Commercial stock
Specialist equipment
The following items must not be stored:
Illegal goods
Flammable liquids
Explosives
Fireworks
Gas cylinders
Toxic substances
Perishable food
Live animals
Anything causing a health or safety risk
Kent & Sussex Storage reserves the right to require removal of prohibited items.
The customer agrees to pay the agreed monthly storage charge.
Payment must be made by the agreed method:
Bank transfer
Standing order
Direct debit
Other agreed method
Rent must be paid on time.
Late payments may result in charges and termination of the storage agreement.
Where a deposit is required, it will be held against:
Unpaid rent
Damage caused to the garage
Cleaning costs
Removal of abandoned goods
Replacement keys or security devices
Any remaining balance will be returned after the garage has been cleared and inspected.
Customers may access their garage during the agreed access hours.
Customers must:
Keep the garage secure
Lock the garage after every visit
Not share keys without permission
Report lost keys immediately
Customers are responsible for:
The security of their belongings
Keeping the garage clean
Preventing damage
Storing goods safely
Following these terms
Customers must not make alterations to the garage without written permission.
Customers are responsible for arranging insurance for their own belongings.
Kent & Sussex Storage does not accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by:
Theft
Fire
Flood
Storm damage
Condensation
Damage caused by stored goods
Customer negligence
Customers should ensure their insurance covers stored goods.
Kent & Sussex Storage takes reasonable steps to provide secure storage.
However, customers remain responsible for their own possessions and should not store irreplaceable or extremely valuable items without suitable insurance.
Businesses may use storage garages for:
Stock
Tools
Equipment
Materials
However, garages must not be used as:
Retail premises
Offices
Customer collection points
Manufacturing premises
Vehicles may only be stored with prior approval.
The customer must ensure:
The vehicle is legally owned or authorised for storage
Insurance requirements are maintained
No hazardous leaks exist
Either party may end the agreement by providing the agreed notice period.
The customer must:
Remove all belongings
Return keys
Leave the garage clean
If goods remain after the agreement ends, Kent & Sussex Storage will attempt to contact the customer.
Where goods are considered abandoned, action may be taken to remove or dispose of them in accordance with applicable law.
Costs may be charged to the customer.
Customer information will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Information will only be used for managing the storage agreement and related business purposes.
Kent & Sussex Storage may update these terms from time to time.
Customers will be informed of significant changes.
